Lenny Weissman is a songwriter, producer and pianist specialising in jazz and contemporary styles. Hailing from New York City, He began taking classical piano lessons at the age of six. In high school he joined the school’s jazz ensemble and formed Chasing Rockets, an alternative rock group, for whom he would be the primary songwriter, singer and pianist. From the years 2011 to 2014 he was in charge of organizing an abundance of Chasing Rockets shows throughout downtown Manhattan as well as an on-air radio appearance on WFMU. In 2014 he enrolled at Berklee College of music where he pursued a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production. In his Freshmen year, he formed Dirty Butter, an alternative funk rock group that he played piano, ukulele and sang lead vocals for. He also organized their social media accounts and wrote and co-produced all of their session tracks. He graduated in 2018 and is currently in the process of breaking into the songwriting, production and advertising scene in New York City.
